Hand-Picked Agave Hearts

Our journey begins with the meticulous hand-selection of only the finest mature agave hearts, ensuring the purest and most flavorful tequila.

EXTRACTION
The Liquid Gold

After cooking, the softened agave hearts are crushed using rollers or screw mills, releasing that sweet, sweet agave nectar.

DISTILLATION
Perfection Refined

The fermented liquid is then double distilled in pot stills. This two-step process meticulously removes impurities while preserving the unique agave character of Loca Loka.

COOKING
Low and Slow

The hearts are then slow-cooked in brick ovens for several days. This gentle process unlocks the agave's natural sweetness and complexity.

FERMENTATION
The Magic Begins

The extracted nectar undergoes a natural fermentation process led by a special yeast strain. During this magical transformation, sugars convert to alcohol, creating the base spirit for Loca Loka tequila.

BLANCO

Blanco has the blend of the rounder fruity flavors of cooked agave along with the earthier floral flavors of the Highland agaves.

Overall experience starts with the cooked agave showing up in the aroma, when sipped you get the fruity flavors and then the finish is subtle with the floral tones.

AROMA

Intense sharpness of cooked agave without being overbearing.

PALATE

Distinct fruity flavor with subtle earthy tones.

COLOR

Transparent liquid with crystal sparkles.

FINISH

What lingers on the tongue, long finish of smooth and fruity tones of the agave. In other words, complex yet easy to drink. In terms of taste the sweetness of cooked Highland agave with a prolonged finish without being aggressive on the throat.

Reposado that is rested (less than a year). The aging imparts a richer aroma and flavors of the Highland blends i.e. a continuation of the Blanco maturation journey.

In terms of the overall experience getting the best of the French and American oak barrels finish.
